Moose have always received a lot of attention in September in Interior Alaska. This year, they went national. Moose haven’t created so many laughs, gaffes and gags since Bullwinkle retired. When Gov. Sarah Palin declared her fondness for moose hunting at the Republican national convention, the season opened.
