As soon as Tuesday, April 22, the Oklahoma House of Representatives is scheduled to hear SJR38, authored by State Senator Glenn Coffee (R-30) and State Representative Randy Terrill (R-53). SJR38 would guarantee the Right to Hunt in Oklahoma. If this proposal is approved in both chambers, the language to amend Oklahoma's constitution will be on the ballot in this November's General Election.
The Sooner State's hunting heritage is a well-established and time-honored tradition. Passage of SJR38, followed by approval from the voters, would officially establish our outdoor and hunting heritage as a right to be passed on to future generations of Oklahomans.
