Two Maryland Self-Defense Bills to be Heard on March 4!

Two self-defense bills, House Bill 1071 and House Bill 1075, sponsored by State Delegate Frank Conaway (D-40), will be heard on Tuesday, March 4 at 1:00 pm.  

HB1071 would establish that law-abiding citizens are justified in using force, including deadly force, against intruders in the home when there is reasonable belief that the intruder intends to commit a crime against a person or property.  A second bill, HB1075 expands the provisions of HB1071 allowing similar use of deadly force in a place of business.
