On Tuesday, May 29 the Tabernacle Township Committee will hold a public hearing and final vote on a proposed ordinance that will regulate the use of firearms on private property in the township. This measure will prohibit the use or discharge of firearms within 450 feet of a structure on someone else’s property, even where it is safe to do so.
If enacted, gun owners would be required to seek written permission from newcomers to Tabernacle Township in order to target shoot on your own private property!
The public hearing will likely be the only opportunity for law-abiding gun owners to voice their opposition to this anti-gun ordinance.
Please make plans to attend the Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 29 at 8:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Town Hall. If you are unable to attend, please contact the Committee at (609) 268-1220 and urge them to oppose this proposal.
