The House of Representatives has already voted to override Governor Sebelius’ veto of House Bill 2528 by a vote of 98 to 26. Unfortunately, some members of the Senate are wavering on whether to override the Governor’s veto of HB 2528 and it could come up for a vote as early as 2 P.M. THIS AFTERNOON, so it is important that your State Senator hear from you TODAY!

House Bill 2528 would prevent cities and counties from adopting any ordinance or regulation that would contradict state firearms law. HB2528 would also prohibit a public or private entity from prohibiting a licensed Right-to-Carry permit holder from possessing a firearm, when locked inside a private motor vehicle in a publicly accessible parking lot.
