Hearing Today at 4 P.M. and Your Attendance is Needed!
The City of Murray’s Public Safety Committee is holding a hearing today, February 8, at 4:30 p.m. regarding a ban on the discharge of firearms, air guns, and bows! A vote could take place as early as 6:30 p.m. tonight!
Your Public Safety City Council Members need to hear from you today!
Not only would this ordinance effect the law-biding citizens of Murray, this could possibly effect the Murray State University Rifle team. Over the team’s years of existence, many of the Racers have qualified for a chance to be a part of U.S.A. Olympic Team. Currently, the Racers are working to qualify for their 27th trip to the NCAA Championships.
The hearing is being held at City Hall on 104 North 5th Street.
If you are unable to attend, it is critical that you call and urge committee members to oppose this anti-gun ordinance!
The Public Safety Committee Members can be reached at (270) 762-0350 or by email at [email protected].
