California Anti-Gun Legislation on the Move!

Friday, August 25, 2006

Please Call Your State Legislators Today!

We need your help to stop anti-Second Amendment legislation in the Golden State.

AB 352, sponsored by Assemblyman Paul Koretz (D-42), would require after a certain date that the make, model, and serial number be microstamped onto the interior surface or internal working parts of all handguns in such a manner that those identifiers are imprinted onto the cartridge case upon firing.  Handguns that do not include their identifying information would be defined as “unsafe” and their manufacture, sale, and transfer would be a crime.

AB 2714, sponsored by Assembly Member Alberto Torrico (D-20), is currently on the Senate floor.  This legislation would require that no ammunition or reloaded ammunition may be sold in a retail transaction unless the purchaser personally presents evidence of his or her identity and age, as specified, to the seller of the ammunition.
In addition, this bill would completely undermine California’s state preemption law, allowing localities to enact draconian gun control ordinances.

YOUR ACTION IS CRITICAL!

HELP PRESERVE THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN CALIFORNIA!

Please contact your State Legislators today and respectfully urge them to protect your Second Amendment rights by voting “no” on AB 352 and AB 2714.
