This week, Governor Mark Sanford (R) signed S 654 into law. This NRA-supported legislation eliminated the requirement that law-abiding citizens fill out state-mandated paperwork when purchasing a handgun from a licensed dealer. With last year’s repeal of the one-handgun-a-month law, this paperwork requirement was simply unnecessary.
