California Lawmaker Wants to Allow Limited Hunting Of Mountain Lions

A Central Valley legislator has proposed legislation that would allow hunting of mountain lions on a limited basis. Assemblyman Bill Maze, R-Visalia, has authored AB 24, a measure that would allow the state to issue two hunting permits annually through a lottery to counties with a known cougar population. The license to hunt would be good for one year.
