Senate Bill 1733, by State Senator Speier, would ban the sale of Firearms at the Cow Palace State Fairgrounds. The supporters of the ban claimed that illegal activities were the reason for their actions. During the committee hearings the anti-gun activists claims of illegal gun trafficking were exposed as fabrications and they were left with stating that Gun shows should just not be held on public property. The bill could be heard as soon as Thursday, July 1, on the floor of the California State Assembly.
