Ohio - House Criminal Justice Committee To Consider Right To Carry Bill

Saturday, March 1, 2003

House Bill 12, NRA-backed Right to Carry legislation that would allow law-abiding citizens who have satisfied a criminal background check and taken a training course to obtain a permit to carry a handgun concealed for personal protection, passed the House Criminal Justice Committee on Wedenesday, March 5.  The Senate should review the bill later this month.  We encourage you to contact your State Senator, urging them to support HB 12 as it is currently written.  For more information on HB 12, you can log onto the State’s website at www.legislature.state.oh.us.
