In American politics, money talks, and the Walt Disney Co., Boeing Corp. and their executives are among those who have dug deep. A study of political giving since 1989, released Tuesday by the Center for Responsive Politics, shows that $1 billion has been contributed by the top 100 labor unions, corporations and their executives to candidates and political parties during the last seven two-year election cycles. The report found that Democrats have enjoyed the largest giving from Disney, which has contributed 67% of its money to the party and its candidates since 1989. Michael Eisner, Disney`s CEO, and his wife, Jane, have given more than $205,000 since 1989, all but $28,000 to Democrats, including California Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein.
