Billings, Mont., store owner Carl Madson and his brother
heard a noise coming from his shop one morning, armed themselves and
investigated. They found three intruders, one of whom jumped Madson
and struggled with him. Two shots were fired, and the attacker was
killed. His accomplices were soon arrested.
Established in 1975, the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the "lobbying" arm of the National Rifle Association of America.
