A Seguin, Tex., nurse, awakened when something bumped her bed, discovered a man wearing a stocking over his head. He threatened to kill her and her young son if she did not submit to him. Pretending to get a tissue from the nightstand, she instead extracted a pistol and shot him. The would-be rapist grappled with the woman, trying to turn the gun on her, but she stopped the attack, seriously injuring him with two more shots.
