Navy veteran Ernest Regneri made good use of his Shore
Patrol experience when a burglar broke into his New London, Conn.,
home. Regneri pulled a .32 ACP automatic and held the criminal for
police. "I haven't got a whole lot," Regneri said, "but what I've
got, I like to protect."
Established in 1975, the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the "lobbying" arm of the National Rifle Association of America.
