On January 19th, grassroots activists came together in Richmond for the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) Lobby Day, and it was a resounding success. NRA members and Second Amendment supporters from across the Commonwealth filled the halls of the General Assembly with a clear and unified message: our Constitutional rights are worth defending.
Throughout the day, attendees met directly with lawmakers to discuss key legislative issues impacting the right to keep and bear arms. These face-to-face conversations were a powerful reminder that informed, respectful citizen advocacy makes a real difference in the legislative process.
Participants also had the opportunity to hear from a lineup of dedicated speakers who reinforced the importance of remaining engaged, organized, and vigilant. Their remarks highlighted both the challenges ahead and the strength of a grassroots movement committed to protecting freedom for future generations.
Lobby Day once again demonstrated that when gun owners and freedom-loving Virginians show up, our voices are heard. The NRA is proud to stand alongside organizations like VCDL and the countless volunteers who invest their time and energy to defend the Second Amendment.
Thank you to everyone who attended, spoke out, and represented our shared values. Together, we will continue to work with lawmakers and grassroots activists to ensure that our rights are protected today and preserved for tomorrow.
