Police say a man inside an Elliot Street business fired shots at burglars who broke in Friday night, though it’s unknown whether the burglars were injured. Police responded to the reported burglary just after 8 p.m.; the man told them he fired multiple rounds from a handgun at the burglars, according to a news release from the Brattleboro Police Department. The news release does not identify the man or the business and does not specify how many burglars reportedly broke in.
