Wisconsin: Senate CCW Renewal Reform Bill Up for Committee Vote Tomorrow

The Senate Committee on Judiciary & Public Safety announced that they will hold executive action on Senate Bill 7, one of the two CCW renewal reform bills, tomorrow, March 2.  SB 7, as well as its companion bill, Assembly Bill 28would revise current CCW statutes to ensure that when a law-abiding CCW holder renews their license before it expires, the license is valid for five years from the expiration date of the license being renewed.  Currently, when a CCW holder renews their license before it expires, it becomes valid for five years from the date of issuance, rather than the expiration date of the license being renewed.

Please contact members of the Senate Committee on Judiciary & Public Safety and urge them to support this bill!  Stay tuned to your email inbox and www.nraila.org for further updates on these bills.
