National efforts to pass stricter gun-control laws may inadvertently be helping Wyoming’s Game and Fish Department budget.
Scott Talbott, director of the state agency, told lawmakers Tuesday that his department’s financial situation has improved, thanks largely to federal funds that are supported by gun and ammo sales.
