HB-4005, Campus Carry, PASSED the House Judiciary Committee by a Vote of 12-3. This was the last committee hearing for his bill. It is now ready for the House Floor.
HB-19, School Safety, PASSED the House Judiciary Committee by a Vote of 12-3. This was the last committee hearing for his bill. It is now ready for the House Floor.
HB-4005 Firearms on College Campus by Representative Greg Steube (R-Sarasota) Repeals the provision of law that prohibits persons with concealed carry licensees from carrying firearms onto college or university campuses.
Under this bill, adults 21 years of age or older who have a valid Florida Concealed Weapons or Firearm License will have their rights restored and will be able to carry their concealed firearms on college or university campuses for protection.
HB-19 School Safety by Representative Greg Steube (R-Sarasota) Allows school districts to authorize armed security on K-12 school grounds to protect children from violent attacks.
