Minnesota: Governor Dayton to Host Town Hall Meetings Next Week - Your Presence is Needed

Thursday, March 21, 2013

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton (DFL) will be hosting two town hall meetings next week: one in Moorhead and the other in St. Cloud.  After the Governor’s public comments (see news article here), it is very important to attend and express your opposition to banning and criminalizing the private transfers of firearms between certain family members, friends and hunting buddies.   As reported by the NRA-ILA, the gun control bills moving through the state legislature that Governor Dayton supports are some of the most invasive infringements of the Second Amendment in recent memory.

It is imperative that pro-freedom supporters attend these meetings and ask Governor Dayton why he supports restrictive measures that will do nothing to stop criminal misuse of firearms or reduce violent crime and that will only affect and punish law-abiding gun owners.

Governor Dayton’s Town Hall Meeting Schedule:

  Moorhead Meeting with Mark
Monday, March 25
6 - 7:30 p.m.
Oscar Bergos Center
Minnesota State Community and Technical College
1900 28th Ave South
Moorhead, MN 56560

  St. Cloud Meeting with Mark
Tuesday, March 26
6 - 7:30 p.m.
Saint Cloud City Hall
City Council Chambers
400 2nd Street South
Saint Cloud, MN 56301

Please attend and be sure to ask Governor Dayton to support REAL solutions to Minnesota’s crime problem instead of misguided measures that will only criminalize law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen.
