Today, the Missouri House General Laws Committee will hear important self-defense legislation, House Bill 533. HB 533, sponsored by state Representative Jeanie Riddle (R-49), would ensure that hard working Missourians right to self-defense does not end when they drive onto their state employer’s property.
HB 533 would protect the right of a state employee to store a firearm in his or her private vehicle on state property as long as the vehicle is locked and the firearm is not visible.
HB 533 will be heard in the House Hearing Room 4 at 12:00 noon today.
