Thursday, March 26, 2009

"With nearly 30 years served as a member of the NRA board of directors, Governor Palin has chosen a staunch defender of constitutional freedom and someone whose contributions to individual rights and gun owners is an open record. I’ve known Wayne Anthony Ross for three decades and I speak for the entire NRA family in extending our congratulations to him and our best wishes for what we know will be extraordinary service to Alaska," said NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre.

NRA chief lobbyist Chris W. Cox added, "Because of Col. Ross’ proven dedication and passion for the Second Amendment, Alaskans can rest assured their Second Amendment freedom and hunting heritage will have a consistent defender in the state Attorney General's office. On behalf of NRA members and gun owners in Alaska, I’d like to congratulate Col. Ross on his appointment."
