Please Continue to Contact the Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee!
On Wednesday, February 25, House Bill 1237, authored by pro-gun State Representative Beverly Pyle (R-83), was stalled in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Fortunately, the bill is not yet dead. HB 1237 can be reconsidered by the Committee, and Representative Pyle is working with members to try to address their concerns.
HB 1237 seeks to allow churches to decide for themselves whether they would allow Right-to-Carry permit holders to carry their firearms while attending church. Currently, state law singles out churches as the only private property, other than bars, where firearms are prohibited.
Please continue to contact the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee and urge them to work with Representative Pyle to pass this important piece of legislation. Committee members can be contacted through the email addresses listed below or via phone at (501) 682-2902.
