21 year-old Fabrizzo Sandovaz attempted to rob a man in Pompano Beach, Fla. in front of IC Realtime Security Solutions, a retail surveillance and security store. Sandovaz saw the intended victim walking down the street and jumped out of his car to rob him, but forgot to put his car in park. As Sandovaz placed a gun to the victim’s head, Sandovaz’s car ran into two others in the nearby parking lot of IC Realtime Security Solutions. Upon hearing the crash, the employees and a customer raced to the scene. The customer, a Right-To-Carry permit holder, noticed the robbery, drew his gun and forced Sandovaz to drop his. Sandovaz tried to run off, but was quickly tackled by the armed customer and the employees of the surveillance store and held until the police arrived.
When later asked about the robbery, store employee Frank Fishman said, “This guy picked the worst place in the world… because most of us carry.”
