Please Contact the Senate Courts of Justice Committee and Urge Them to Support HB982!
Tomorrow at 2:00 p.m., The Senate Courts of Justice Committee will hear House Bill 982, sponsored by Delegate Dave Nutter (R-7). HB982 restricts the public disclosure of the Right-to-Carry permit list to all accept the Virginia State Police. This legislation will prevent anti-gun organizations or the media from obtaining the list and publishing it, such as occurred last year when the Roanoke Times published the list online.
Please call the members of the Senate Courts of Justice Committee listed below and urge them to protect the private information of the 150,000 Right-to-Carry permit holders in Virginia from ever being published.
