The United Kingdom`s firearms registery will not be in operation until next year at the earliest, eight years after parliament agreed to the move in a bid to get a grip on more than a million firearms in private hands. The government admits that the roll-out of the long-delayed project has been suspended until the New Year, after running into a series of technical problems during its pilot period.
