Edmonton police have recommended a 74-year-old man be charged for taking his unregistered rifle to a New Year`s Day gun registry protest at the legislature. Oscar Lacombe`s lawyer says if the crown prosecutor decides to proceed, he would be the first person charged under Bill C-68, the new gun registry legislation. The Korean War vet and former Sergeant-At-Arms was asked to report to police Friday afternoon.
