Preparing to retire for the night, Mrs. J.W. Applegate, Las
Vegas, Nev., opened a closet and found a man hiding there. She
screamed. He scrammed. Her husband later found the intruder
crouching behind their dining room table. Applegate held the man at
gun point until police arrived.
Established in 1975, the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the "lobbying" arm of the National Rifle Association of America.
