The National Rifle Association strongly opposes President Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland for the U.S. Supreme Court.  Please read Chris Cox's recent op-ed detailing NRA's opposition to Merrick Garland. 

Anti-gun groups want to see the Heller and McDonald decisions overturned and the Second Amendment erased from the Constitution.  If confirmed to the Supreme Court, Judge Garland would help make that happen.  Obama has already nominated two Supreme Court justices who oppose our Second Amendment freedoms. Garland’s record shows that he does not support our right to keep and bear arms.  His confirmation would change the balance of power on the Court for generations.

Please contact your U.S. Senators, Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker and urge them to oppose Obama’s attempt to put a third anti-gun justice on the Supreme Court.  Their offices can be reached at the numbers below, and you can also tweet them @SenAlexander and @SenBobCorker.
