Investigating suspicious noises at her back porch, a Tucson, Ariz., woman discovered a man crouching at a sliding glass door. Armed with a shotgun, the woman opened the door and instructed the man to put up his hands. She began dialing police, but the intruder, brandishing an 8" hunting knife, suddenly charged her. She wounded the man with a single shot, putting him to flight.
