Fairfax, VA—The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of U.S. Senator Jon Kyl for re-election in Arizona.
NRA-PVF Chairman Chris W. Cox stated, "In his years of service in both the House and Senate, Jon Kyl has proven he’s dedicated to the gun owners and sportsmen of his state and this country." Cox continued, "With Senator Kyl’s legal and legislative experience, he knows being tough on criminals - not law-abiding gun owners - is key to lowering crime.”
During Jon Kyl’s tenure in the Senate, he has been a strong and consistent supporter of the Second Amendment. As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he played a pivotal role in moving pro-gun legislation and aided the NRA in several important victories on Capitol Hill.
He cosponsored and voted for last year’s “Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act” that ends bogus gun industry lawsuits trying to bankrupt firearms manufacturers and dealers by holding them responsible for the acts of criminals.
Kyl also voted to prohibit gun confiscation during states of emergency as happened after Hurricane Katrina and is a cosponsor of the “District of Columbia Personal Protection Act”, which would repeal the gun ban for law-abiding D.C. residents and restore their right of self-defense.
Jon Kyl’s outstanding record in the United States Senate has earned him an “A” rating by NRA-PVF.
"We urge all law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen in Arizona to vote for Jon Kyl. He will continue to fight for freedom and support the Second Amendment for future generations,” Cox concluded.
