(Fairfax, VA) – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse incumbent Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn for re-election in Tennessee's District 7.
Chris Cox, NRA-PVF Chairman, stated, “Representative Blackburn exemplifies a pro-Second Amendment Member of Congress. She is a steadfast supporter of our freedom. She has a legacy of fighting for and protecting the Second Amendment for all law-abiding Americans, and she has earned the trust of Tennessee’s District 7 gun owners and NRA’s endorsement.”
U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn earned an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund. Rep. Blackburn received the NRA-PVF superior rating due to her long-standing support of the Second Amendment.
Congresswoman Blackburn co-sponsored the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which President Bush signed into law last fall. In addition, she supported legislation to prohibit the use of federal funds for the confiscation of lawfully possessed firearms during a state of emergency or major disaster. She also sponsored the NRA-supported bill to repeal the decades-old gun ban in Washington, D.C.
“Tennessee’s hunters and gun owners value their right to own firearms, and Marsha Blackburn is the best candidate to help them preserve that freedom.” Cox continued, “We urge all NRA members and gun owners to vote for Marsha Blackburn on November 7.”
Chris Cox also serves as Executive Director of the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Actions (NRA-ILA).
