Fairfax, VA -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse incumbent Governor Dave Heineman in the Republican Gubernatorial Primary race on May 9, 2006.
Chris Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF, stated, “Over the years, Governor Heineman has demonstrated his support of Nebraskans’ Second Amendment rights. He was instrumental in the passage of Nebraska’s Right-to-Carry, signing it into law earlier this year.”
Nebraska is the 48th state with some form of Right-to-Carry. Only two states, Illinois and Wisconsin, do not recognize any form of Right-to-Carry for its citizens.
Because of his strong support for individual gun-ownership rights, Governor Heineman earned an “A+” rating from NRA – PVF, the highest possible candidate rating given. He has also worked to preserve and enhance opportunities for sportsmen and hunters in Nebraska.
Cox continued, “On May 9, we urge all freedom-loving Nebraskans to go to the booths and vote for Governor Heineman. His dedication to NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen in Nebraska is clear and we support him for re-election in Nebraska.”
