The Boone County Fiscal Court has joined a growing list of county governments and sheriff's departments around the country in approving a resolution against the enforcement of mandates that restrict gun ownership.
Boone County Judge executive Gary Moore said the county had a responsibility to show its support for the Second Amendment and Sheriff Mike Helmig, who has indicated he won't enforce such mandates.
