Kentucky: Concealed Carry Reform Bill to be Heard Next Tuesday

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

On Tuesday, January 28, Senate Bill 60 is scheduled to be heard in the state Senate Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations Committee.

SB 60, sponsored by state Senator John Schickel (R-11), would make key changes to the concealed carry permitting process by allowing instructors to issue training certificates to students who passed an accredited concealed carry course.  This bill would also allow for concealed carry permit holders to carry while in businesses whose primary profits are derived from the sale of alcoholic beverages.

SB 60 is an extremely important bill that your NRA is fully supporting this legislative session.
