The Department of Public Safety completed its audit of out-of-state permits and released the list of those out-of-state permits that will be recognized in the state of Nevada.
Nevada law recognizes concealed carry permits from other states that have met Nevada’s state requirements and the permit must be in possession of the permittee at all times while carrying a firearm.
Changes in this list of states, along with any questions regarding out-of-state recognition will be addressed during the CCW forum on August 20th in Carson City. Please make plans to attend this forum and voice your opinion.
Effective as of July 1, 2013 Nevada now recognizes the following out of state permits.
Alaska
Arkansas
Idaho “Enhanced” Permit
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Michigan
Nebraska
New Mexico
North Carolina
North Dakota “Class 1” Permit
Ohio
South Carolina
Tennessee
West Virginia
