Your immediate attention is needed on two anti-gun bills scheduled to be heard on Tuesday, June 25, in the state Assembly Public Safety Committee. Members of the state Assembly Public Safety Committee MUST hear your opposition to these unnecessary and misguided bills TODAY. These anti-gun bills will do nothing to reduce California’s crime rate and will one affect law-abiding citizens, because law-abiding citizens are the only ones that respect the law. Senate Bill 299 (DeSaulnier) requires law-abiding gun owners who are victims of gun theft to report that loss within 48 hours of when the owner knew or “should have known” it was lost or stolen. To view a copy of the NRA’s letter of opposition to SB 299, please click here.
