Connecticut: Reminder to Attend Important Lobby Day in Hartford on Monday

Friday, March 8, 2013

Please join NRA and other Second Amendment supporters to make your voice heard to your state legislators

This is an important reminder to join the National Rifle Association, in association with the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the Coalition of Connecticut Sportsmen and the Connecticut Citizens Defense League, for Lobby Day in Hartford this Monday.

Details for the Lobby Day:

Date:  Monday, March 11

Time:  10:00 a.m.

Where:  Second Floor Atrium of the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Avenue in Hartford

Parking:  Free parking will be available at Cabela’s in Hartford located at 475 East Hartford Boulevard North, East Hartford, CT 06118.  Limited free parking is also available in the Legislative Office Building parking garage.  Click here for directions.

Transportation:  A complimentary shuttle service will run between Cabela’s and the state Capitol between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Please look for NRA staff and volunteers who will be wearing orange hats!

If you plan on arriving on your own, please click here for directions.  When you arrive, please make your way to the Second Floor Atrium of the Legislative Office Building.  NRA staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide you all the necessary information to effectively communicate with your state legislators.

This is your opportunity to Stand and Fight with the NRA and make your voice heard to your state lawmakers!  If able, please schedule meetings with your state legislators in advance, and spend the day networking with other Second Amendment supporters.

Governor Malloy and anti-gun legislators are aggressively setting the stage to quickly pass sweeping proposals that will severely inhibit your Right to Keep and Bear Arms and inherent right to self-defense.  Committee hearings on some these proposals are already scheduled for next week!

We need you to come to Hartford on Monday to express your opposition to these proposals.  Please come stand shoulder to shoulder with the NRA to fight for our Second Amendment rights!  The NRA is fully invested in this fight to protect our freedoms, so please join us and other Second Amendment supporters on Monday, March 11.

If you are unable to attend Lobby Day in Hartford, please contact your state Senator and state Representative and urge them to vote against any rights-infringing legislation.  Click here to view contact information for your state legislators.
