Maryland: URGENT -- Vote on Governor’s Gun Control Scheme Moved to Next Week – Your Action Needed NOW to Protect Your Rights

Emergency: Last Chance to Demand Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee and Your Senator to Oppose All Aspects of SB 281

Today, the Maryland Senate leadership announced that the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee will be voting on Senate Bill 281 as early as Tuesday, February 19.  It is likely that this sweeping anti-gun legislation will be reported by this committee and voted on by the entire Senate NEXT WEEK.  SB 281 has drawn much criticism and protest from Maryland citizens.  Evident from the huge turnout at the February 6th rally, with a showing of thousands of Second Amendment supporters in Annapolis, this legislation is strongly opposed by law-abiding Marylanders. The number of people who signed up to testify in opposition to SB 281 was so large that the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee restricted the amount of testimony they would hear to eight hours.  Not all testimony from pro-gun advocates was heard -- and the committee struggled to find anyone in support of the legislation.

DO NOT let them ban your guns and make YOU a criminal.  Now is your LAST CHANCE to voice your opposition before the Senate voteand it is extremely important that you do so IMMEDIATELY.  Contact your state Senator and members of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee NOW.

It is EXTREMELY urgent that Marylanders express their opposition to Senate Bill 281 as well as contact Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee members and their own Senators. Strongly urge them to oppose Governor Martin O’Malley’s extremist gun control package in any formDo NOT let them take away your voice and your rights like Governor Cuomo did in New York.  You have a chance to stop this dangerous legislation, and the time is NOW.

More information on SB 281 can be found here.

Please also contact Governor O’Malley and tell him you oppose his attacks on your rights!  He can be emailed using the online form here and called at (410) 974 3901 and (800) 811 8336.
