Florida: The Leon County Commission Met & Took Action On The Gun Ordinance

The Leon County Commission convened their meeting on November 19 at 3:00 p.m. 

Immediately following the opening prayer and the pledge to the Flag, Chairman Nick Maddox recognized Commissioner Mary Ann Lindley who made a motion to WITHDRAW the gun control ordinance from the Agenda of the January, 2014 meeting.

Commissioner Lindley said they had sought more information on the issue and that they had received a "boat load" in the past two weeks.

Her motion to withdraw passed 6-1 with Commissioner Proctor voting against withdrawal.

By 3:06 p.m. it was over. Pat yourselves on the back!  Your email and phones calls were heard and Commissioners responded by immediately taking the issue off the table.
