On November 5, residents of Sunnyvale will vote on a measure that would ban the possession of so-called “large capacity magazines,” defined as ammunition feeding devices capable of holding more than ten rounds. The NRA has been closely monitoring the escalating situation in Sunnyvale and working to oppose this pending ballot measure. Should Sunnyvale voters approve this law, it will take effect in early 2014 and residents will then have ninety days to surrender their magazines or remove them from the city.
