Please Contact Governor Blunt Today!
With nearly two-thirds of North America’s migratory waterfowl passing through the Missouri flyway each year, the protection of critical wildlife habitat and hunting opportunities is among NRA’s top priorities this legislative session. Currently, Governor Matt Blunt (R) is considering House Bill 327, an economic development bill that contains provisions that will preserve important wildlife habitat and hunting opportunities for future generations.
Specifically, the provisions in HB327 will prohibit certain TIF-related development within the Missouri and Mississippi River 100-year flood plains, as well as restrict the ability of localities to prohibit the discharge of firearms and hunting in these protected areas.
Please call Governor Blunt today at (573) 751-3222 and strongly encourage him to preserve and protect Missouri’s proud and time-honored hunting heritage by signing HB327 into law.
