Nearly a quarter of a million electronic records deep inside the Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office are about to become a casualty of a new state law, and Sheriff John Rutherford is none too happy about it. But Marion Hammer, executive director of Unified Sportsmen of Florida, the state branch of the NRA, said: "Calling these records a tool of law enforcement doesn`t make them a tool of law enforcement. And the Constitution is not about the convenience of law enforcement. It`s about protecting the rights of people."
