California: Pro-Gun Bill Scheduled to be Heard on Tuesday, April 21

Please contact Members of the Committee on Judiciary TODAY!

The Assembly Committee on Judiciary is expected to hear Assembly Bill 1154 on Tuesday, April 21 at 9 a.m. in room 4202 of the State Capitol.  Please call AND email the members of this committee and urge them to SUPPORT AB 1154.

AB 1154 would provide that the California Public Records Act (CPRA) not be construed to require the disclosure of private information of civilian licensed CCW holders.

This legislation is essential for the protection of law-abiding gun owners in the Golden State.  Recently, there have been several instances of anti-gun media outlets publishing the names and addresses of concealed carry permit holders which jeopardizes the safety and violates the privacy of law-abiding citizens.  Such publications place lawful permit holders at risk to criminals who may target their home to steal firearms.  An individual exercising his or her Second Amendment rights should not be put at risk of being a victim of gun theft by the public exposure of their private information, and enactment of this permit confidentiality legislation will prevent such abuse. The privacy of carry permit holders in 43 states is now protected by laws similar to AB 1154.

Forward this email to your family, friends, fellow gun owners and sportsmen and them to also contact the Assembly Committee on Judiciary urging them to SUPPORT AB 1154.
