Anti-gun advocates and lawmakers have openly stated their desire to abrogate individuals’ Second Amendment rights based on the exercise of their First Amendment right to free speech. Other politicians have sought to restrict gun owners’ First Amendment rights to associate and engage in pro-gun political activism. Governments have attempted to violate gun owners’ privacy rights through intrusive surveillance practices. |
