A woman says that she exchanged gunfire with a group of people trying to break into her home. The incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday inside a home on Alonzo Fields off Foster Road near Wagner High School. Surveillance footage shows one of the shooters walking with a gun in front of the home. The homeowner told KENS 5 that she heard banging on the front door and someone yelling "SAPD." She knew something wasn't right because her house is in the county, which is covered by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. The homeowner says that she grabbed her phone and a gun. Moments later, her back door was kicked in. From the top of her staircase, the homeowner told us that she started firing shots. The gunmen fired back then took off, but not before shooting the front of the house too. The homeowner is still pulling bullets out of the walls. She tells KENS 5 that all she could think about was last week's home invasion in Universal City. A homeowner there, Michael "Clay" Robinson died after exchanging gunfire with a teenage intruder.
