A man who allegedly broke into a Laurel County home overnight is probably second-guessing that decision.
According to the sheriff, Otis Kemp tried to sneak into a home on Hopewell Estates Road. The homeowner was not home at the time, but returned home shortly after, discovering the prowler. The homeowner grabbed his shotgun and fired into Kemp's torso.
Investigators say Kemp ran into the woods but was found near the home by a k-9. Kemp has been charged with burglary. He was airlifted to UK Hospital to with non-life-threatening injuries. Once he is released from the hospital, he will be booked in the Laurel County Detention Center.
