Former U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah, the 11-term Pennsylvania congressman and longtime advocate for more gun regulation, was sentenced Monday on a host of bribery charges.
U.S. District Judge Harvey Bartle III sentenced Fattah, 60, this week following conviction in June on racketeering, bribery, wire fraud, honest services fraud and money laundering conspiracies. Bartle handed down a sentence of 120 months in prison and ordered the former lawmaker to pay some $600,000 in restitution.
