In response to a federal appeals court’s decision to uphold California’s restrictions on carrying concealed handguns, firearms advocates are suing the state for the right to carry their weapons openly in public.
In California, law-abiding adults “are completely barred from exercising their right to bear arms — in any manner,” the California Rifle & Pistol Association, joined by four individual gun owners, said in a suit filed Wednesday in federal court in Los Angeles.
